2009 Modesto Area Speech Contest	Mar 12, 2009	The top five speech presenters from 11th-12th grade in Modesto came to compete for the Area top honors and move on to the District competition.	View

President Elect Training Seminar (P.E.T.S.)	Mar 7, 2009	President Elect's are required to attend PETS training prior to taking the office of president of their Rotary Club. It has been said to be one of the main highlights of any Rotarian that has had the privilage to be president of their club.	View

Rotary International Assembly	Jan 21, 2009	The International Assembly educates, motivates, and inspires district governors-elect to lead Rotarians in their districts. Through plenary sessions, group discussions, and fellowship activities, future governors get the hands-on information they’ll need for the coming year. Participants exchange information and ideas with other governors-elect from around the world, creating bonds that foster future projects and a lifetime of friendship and fellowship.	View

Pog Mahon Toy Run for Sierra Vista	Dec 6, 2008	President Elect Don Kemplen and Treasurer Tamara Staggs participate in the Annual Pog Mahon Toy run for Sierra Vista. Modesto East Rotary has a close relationship with Sierra Vista Child and Family Services and Don is a board member of the organization.	View

MER Foundation's 7th Annual Wine Soiree	Aug 9, 2008	The MER Foundation held its 7th Annual Wine Soiree at the McHenry Mansion and had its best year ever with over 240 people in attendance. From Friken Chickens, Classic Cars, guest appearances by ABA Players, a Guitar Soloist, All you can eat Tri-Tip, Pasta, Fish & Chips, Cheese, Fruit, and a made to order Taco Station. A great time was had by all.	View

MER Family Fun Fest Night (Modesto Nuts Game)	Jul 29, 2008	MER members, families and friends enjoyed a wonderfull evening that started with games, batting cages, pitching cages, Rock Star stage, Bounce house, traveling minor league hall of fame, and other attractions. Then we had a buffet BBQ with tri-tip, hotdogs, beans, salad and refreshments before the Game between the Nuts and the Stockton Ports.	View

Community Service Day - Tree Planting Project	Jun 21, 2008	MER Club members spend the day planting trees in the Weed and Seed Neighborhood of West Modesto and at the Modesto Municipal Golf Course for the First Tee program.	View

Rotary International Convention 2008	Jun 18, 2008	Rotary International's annual convention will highlight polio eradication, seek Guinness record for world’s largest book drive.	View

Murphy's Vocational Wine Trip	May 31, 2008	MER members and guests enjoyed a day in the sierra foothills wine country around Murphy's. They took a wonderful tour of Twisted Oak Winery where they enjoyed tasting various wines right out of the barrels. Followed by a visit to Stevenot Winery. The afternoon was spent in Downtown Murphy's for lunch and free time where many different Wineries could be tasted within a couple hundred yards. The Day was capped off with Ironstone Vineyards hosting a dinner reception at their tasting room facility.	View

Vocational Tour to St Stans Micro Brewery	Dec 19, 2007	MER members enjoyed an afternoon vocational tour at St. Stans Micro Brewery in Modesto. They toured the facilities and learned about the process of making beer.	View
